Camellia Sasanquas are superb hedging plants in areas with full sun or lightly shaded. They have a strong upright growth and once shaped into the hedge; will provide a low maintenance, dense hedge that can grow up to 3 meters tall.

1.      Camellia Sasanqua Pure Silk

     2.     Camellia Sasanqua Creek

 

A chance seedling from Flora Nursery, the Camellia Sasanqua Creek has evolved
to become a popular hedging plant. Known for its prominent white flowers, the
Creek has frilly edged petals, some with a touch of pink. The large bright
yellow stamen will attract pollenating wildlife; promoting a natural haven for
birds and bees within your garden. 

3.      Camellia Sasanqua Jennifer Susan

 

Known for its beautiful pale pink, informal rose double flowers, the Jennifer Susan offers a splash of colour for your hedge. The pink petals are curved and offer a soft looking plant against the solid green leaves of the hedge.

4.      Camellia Sasanqua Weroona

 

 

Similar to the Pure Silk, the Weroona has large semi double flowers. The white petals can be stained rose with a deeper rose colour on the underside of the petals, providing a range of colouring throughout the hedge. 

5.      Camellia Hiemalis Hiryu

 

Closely related to the Camellia Sasanqua, the Hiryu Camellia produces an abundance of deep rose-coloured flowers which can have red shading at the petal edges. The large semi double flower in deep rose has bright contrasting yellow stamens to provide statement flowers adding depth and colour to your landscaping.
